After terminal issues with a Pi3B+ with very few miles on the clock. I decided to upgrade my project to use a Pi4B+ (I even ordered a new one at £57.00!!) All of the files which I need to copy over are on a Windows 10 desktop. No problem, I can use VNC to transfer them. "Oh no I can't." For some reason the file transfer icon is greyed out and there is no VNC icon on the taskbar. So, having noticed the "WayVNC" on the taskbar I used the "recommended software" to install Real VNC. That had no effect. How is it therefore recommended? None of the advice worked because I did not have the icon on the taskbar to work from. The rather poorly detailed route using raspi-config/advanced settings suggestion also had no desired effect.
I have seen some advce to suggest that RealVNC is currently "persona non-grata" wrg to Bookworm but got no success from their suggestions to use Wayland in a way that would solve my problems.
So how do I install something in order to allow me to transfer files from a Windows 10 desktop to a Bookwork RaspPi while the powers that be sort something more permanent.
This was something I could do on an hourly basis before using Bookworm/Pi4B+. Is there a way back? Please...
