Just did a fresh install of Bookworm with desktop 64-bit on a Pi5 (4GB). Logged in via SSH , update & upgrade, enable VNC server (wayvnc) and rebooted. On first login via VNC Viewer (not TigerVNC) from PC, start a Terminal and we see:

Code:

pi@pibk64:~ $ ls .configlxterminal pulse user-dirs.dirs user-dirs.locale wayfire.ini wf-panel-pi.ini
So, the documentation is out of date. We find wayvnc config in /etc/wayvnc

Code:

pi@pibk64:~ $ ls -l /etc/wayvnc/config-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 160 Jan 23 23:00 /etc/wayvnc/config
Not sure if that is per user or global?
