I an switching from VNC to RDP. I have a rp3+ which i have made a fresh install.
I am using Winscp successfully
I am using RDP with mostly success.
The problems i am having with it seem like some restricted security access. Best example is running file manager from the RDP screen and i can do most things , but i cannot set permissions. I can use a direct connect terminal with the same user and sudo pcmanfm and it all works okay. I also cannot do a sudo pcmanfm in a command window on the RDP I get no protocol specified, unable to init server could not connect connection refused. wheras the same statement works on the direct connect.
I am begining to think that there must be some extra security on the rdp connection that needs altering?
anyone have a suggestion?
in the auth log the following happens when trying sudo statements ( brian is the user name logging in om RDP, I cannot understand why root is feturing excpet as part of the sudo request?
