Hello,

I just got a Raspberry Pi 5 and I have this display: https://www.dfrobot.com/product-2193.html but I cannot get it to display anything. I added the

Code:

dtoverlay=vc4-kms-dsi-7inch,dsi0
(yes I use dsi0) to /boot/firmware/config.txt but the display displays nothing and after running dmesg | grep dsi I get this:

Code:

[    0.678679] platform 1f00118000.dsi: Fixed dependency cycle(s) with /axi/pcie@120000/rp1/dsi@110000/bridge@0/ports/port@0/endpoint[    0.682224] platform 1f00118000.dsi: bcm2712_iommu_probe_device: MMU 1000005280.iommu[    0.682227] platform 1f00118000.dsi: bcm2712_iommu_device_group: MMU 1000005280.iommu[    0.682233] platform 1f00118000.dsi: Adding to iommu group 2[    0.682239] platform 1f00118000.dsi: bcm2712_iommu_attach_dev: MMU 1000005280.iommu[    1.068300] drm-rp1-dsi 1f00118000.dsi: bcm2712_iommu_of_xlate: MMU 1000005280.iommu[    1.085632] mipi-dsi 1f00118000.dsi.0: Fixed dependency cycle(s) with /panel_disp@0/port/endpoint[   14.813362] mipi-dsi 1f00118000.dsi.0: deferred probe pending
you're not the first one to mention this incompatibility. Your best option is to contact dfrobot support (because the DFrobot screen is a clone of the original 7in screen and it depends 'how well' the folks at DFrobot have been able to implement the MCU FW).

and just to make sure because of viewtopic.php?p=2171763#p2171763 - it hasn't failed, right?
..
I am thinking of upgrading my current dfrobot screen that is starting to fail to the official one. ..
