Networking and servers • Raspberry PI Open VPN server, limit local network project

I am looking for pointers/documentation on how to configure my Raspberry PI OpenVPN server to allow OpenVPN clients to enter my OpenVPN server but NOT allow access to my local network that server is connected to. My curent OpenVPN PI OpenVPN server and clients (on my ipad and cell phone) work fine and I am able to access the full internet (while traveling in blocked areas) and my local devices.

This is the first step of a bigger project to allow a off shore friend to acess the internet but protect my local network.

Once I get the OpenVPN server to block local network devices, I want to build a 2nd raspberry PI as a client OpenVPN (ethernet to internet and situated at a distance location from my OpenVPN server) to connect my OpenVPN server. More the 2nd raspberry PI client would also become a wifi hotspot that allows the user to get "unblocked" internet from my OpenVPN serrver.

Putting OpevVPN client software on their devices is not an option.

thank you.
