Which open source database is good for weather. To save data. To plot chart on selected time-point and which data to plot (can select one or multiple data on same chart)?
1. Sensors read once per minutes.
2. A few sensors, each tens of bytes.
3. Total 100 bytes per minutes. 0.144MB per day, 52MB per year
4. Able to store 20 years data, 1GB total
5. Data structure is simple time series. Date_time is primary key. A dozen sensors as data field.
6. Only one data-inserter. Can have a few concurrent readers. Traffic is very low.
Run on local LAN RPi (for local access) and also on internet (for access on mobile phone) by service provider (hopefully free for low volume usage).
Seem easier to use public service than to open the LAN RPi to internet and to deal with long list of attack possibility??
Run with Grafana to produce best-in-class beautiful chart (same looks-quality as commerical).
Seem SQLite and MySQL are frequently mentioned???
