This almost answers my question. I know the plug is polarized, but the wires are tiny and I have a genius for accidentally forcing things.
Is the red wire supposed to be on the outside edge (closest to the outer edge of the motherboard, closest to the physical case wall) or inside edge according to the official wiring?
My current setup has the red wire on the outside (closest to the edge of the board). Though the fan puts out low output, it warms my face and gives me the impression it is blowing outwards (pulling air from below and pushing it out the top to where my face sits close to the working fan).
1. Is all of that right?
2. Is that what the official design calls for? I gather it really doesn't matter much, but I don't want the connector working loose if I've forced it in backwards.
Is it worth trying to pull the plug out if I have it "wrong." It all seems relatively. . .fragile.
