It really depends on your use case. I have Pi-Hole on a dedicated Pi (an old Pi 1B). Since it needs to be running all the time I'd rather not have to take it down if I wanted to do anything with the other systems running on the same Pi.
I also use Pi-Hole as my DHCP server because my router is awful. Another reason to have it on its own.
