The camera has a fixed aperture so depth of field is not something we can control.
Do you get the same results for a mirror-image scene, with a person's face in the top-left or bottom-left of the scene instead of top-right? I'm wondering if there's a systematic difference between the two sides (if there is it could either be due to some dirt on the lens, or the camera has suffered damage causing its lens to be off-centre.)
Negative focus settings are not normally needed or supported, but can be achieved by editing a configuration file (Edit: as it happens I just wrote some instructions here). But I suspect that won't fix the problem if the camera is damaged.
