Do you mean a Pi 2 or a Pi Zero 2?
I used Pi Zero for a couple of projects and there was always some difficulty. I replaced the Zero with a Zero 2 and the extra speed made the device useful for my projects. I ran the desktop on the Pi Zero 2 and could compile code or browse the Internet one page at a time with a light weight Web browser. I could not bring up a Web browser with several pages and edit code and compile code side by side.
I used a fast microSD card that could handle the maximum write speed of the Pi Zero 2. I used the official keyboard with mouse plugged into the keyboard. Then I switched to a faster keyboard through a USB 2 hub.
The Zero 2 with a screen works as a nice test machine for code + GPIO breadboard + WiFi. By the time you plug in USB stuff for Ethernet or anything else, the total cost is similar to a 2 GB Pi 4.
