HATs and other add-ons • Re: Longer Flexcables for the M.2 HAT+

Does anyone out there know where one can find a longer flexcable for the new Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+?

I'm using the HAT *not* mounted on the GPIO bus and a longer flexcable would allow positioning the HAT comfortably aside the Pi.

chapter one of the PCIe connector spec:

The FFC used must be 50mm or shorter and controlled impedance

you may want to use pimoroni base for such setup. Offical HAT may also need power from GPIO40 (5V and GND; i2C bus can be left unconnected as there is no overlay existent).
