use the official OS and if you have still problems report them here.I'm using ubuntu and sudo Apt install vlc says no compatible package found.Install VLC - though I thought it is installed by default?
For ubuntu you may want to use a dedicated ubuntu forum for asking yoir question or have it moved to the ubuntu subforum here.
