Since available RAM is less you could try increasing swap as discussed inThanks for the feedback. I will investigate today.
its a bit annoying that the recommended image for the pi zero 2 has desktop and no hints that it wont run... I intended to run a 7 inch display from it but I doubt that will happen if you guys are correct.
