Think about what you just wrote.Hi, Ive made a device using a Rpi4 powered by a 12v 5amp battery with a 5V converter. The device is controlled from my phone using a flask site. I would like to have a remote on/off method for it.
Something either controlled from my phone or a Zooz Zen34 device like this, but for a battery. I cant find anything. Any recommendations? Thanks.
Once you have turned your Pi off, how will you turn it back on? You need a secondary device monitoring some sort of command communication channel, that is always on and listening (and consuming power).
Why do you need to turn the Pi off? If you needed a low-power system you shouldn't have started with a Pi.
If you need to turn off the Pi to get a longer life from the battery my recommendation is to get a bigger battery.
