If you need to do these kinds of requests often and you're bothered by the amount of code, simply wrap it in a function. You can also remove all of the unnecessary leading global scope resolution operators (::). And perhaps create a separate variable for the line settings.
Other than that, I do not think that this is difficult to read at all. It is verbose, sure, but the code tells you exactly what it's doing.
