So I made a post previously about editing the Kernel boot images for the Raspberry Pi and have successfully pulled it off but now I would like to take it a step further with a Boot Animation. For the last two days I've attempted to get OMXPlayer back in onto the Pi as I saw it was one the the easiest if not best ways to run a video for a boot animation, but getting it to even run on Debian was impossible and from what I can find it's for Buster. I have tried VLC as well but it was a failure either from not doing it right or it just doesn't support it like OMXPlayer did. So now im looking to the Kernel again. Is it possible to bake a video into the kernel for a boot animation rather than command lining it with a program before compiling it? A point in the right direction for how to do a boot animation for x32 debian would be greatly appreciated!
