I set up a pair of PIs using the RPI Imager and put in my home wifi network. After I was finished with them I connected them to a different network for installation in a remote location with their own router. While testing they keep jumping back to my network. I have moved them off my network multiple times, they work for a while and then swap back. I just want to make them completely forget my network, but how? I have tried all of these (these are headless PIs so I have no GUI)
- removing my network from /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
- using raspi-config to connect to the correct network
- removing my network from /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/
- using wpa_cli to forget the network
I am at the point where I'm going to wipe these PIs and start fresh and never connect them to my network. But surely it can't be this hard. Every time I think I've got rid all traces of my wifi out of these PIs it seems to come back. Please help......
