There is a note https://askubuntu.com/questions/1290589 ... untu-20-04 about putting sae in the file manually with an Ubuntu file given.

Looks like improved sae support came out in v1.36 (see here)- I've no Pi here with NM installed at the mo but my Intel box is only on 1.30.6 Image may be NSFW.
